HOPE AND SERVICE TO MANKIND FOUNDATION
(Hope for Rural Dwellers)
Program Cost and Fees
Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation programmes allow anyone wishing to volunteer overseas the the opportunity to do so.
We welcome volunteers who want to participate free of charge (Except our Drumming and Dancing Camps) but on conditions (that the success of our projects largely depends on volunteer’s contribution in many different ways and membership fees as we are not funded by any donor agency. at this time).
Volunteers help raise funds, donate clothes, shoes, cash, books, computers, and other logistics for the success of our projects. Our team uses maximum percentage of donations to contribute general materials and other resources to the project communities.
Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation is always looking for talented and experienced individuals to join our team. We work very differently to most organisations and are focused on such things as home/work balance, utilising technology and bringing on board typically disenfranchised groups. Simply tell us what you can bring to Hope and Service to Mankind Foundation as a volunteer.
If you believe you have the right skills to work with us, kindly take a look at the executive volunteer roles detailed below, which are our current staffing needs (Volunteer Development Manager, Online Engagement Executives, Schools Engagement Coordinators, Public Fundraisers, Corporate Relationship Manager, Community Engagement Coordinator, Grant writers / Fundraising Executives, International Goodwill Ambassadors, Marketing Executives, International Representatives, University Society Coordinator, Professional Recruitment Partners, Foundation Operations Volunteers).
We have opportunities for potential skills volunteers such as, trained teachers, trained nurses, social workers, nutritionist, arts and craft, vocational trainers etc. We also accept administrators with experience with the following: Strategic planning, Time management, Accountancy, Human Resource, Project Marketers, and Communication (writing proposals for grant, writing comprehensive report on studies, publishing results to contributors).
The communities you are going to serve are already in need of infrastructure and support. Therefore community members and our partners are unable to pay foreign volunteers to come and assist, or able to provide financial support for visiting volunteers whilst they help to improve the quality of their lives and communities but they do help in many other ways.
Volunteering with us is free of charge but please take notice and responsibility of the cost of the following;
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Special meals are available upon request.

Our host families are traine on how to handle and deal with their new family members (students/volunteers). The host families are also provided with all the needed resources to cater properly for their guests and to be able to accommodate vegetarians and other specific or peculiar nutritional needs of volunteers.
Your home stay is likely to be the highlight of your visit to Ghana. There is no better way to learn first hand about life in Ghana than by living among the local people and participating in their lives through helping with chores, cooking and other activities, and being treated as a member of the family.
The friendships made while living with a family can last a lifetime. Many of our participants have felt they will remain a member of the family for the rest of their lives. The host families are located in both rural and urban areas and you will be placed according to your preference.
